Magnetic shape memory alloys are materials with remarkable functional properties. Their behaviour is closely connected with their electronic structure and the stability of individual crystal phases.

These relationships will be the focus of the habilitation lecture by Martin Zelený, Ph.D., devoted to the Ni₂MnGa alloy and the effect of electron localization on the stability of its martensitic phase.

The lecture will take place on 30 September 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in room A3/301, Technická 2, Brno, and will also be available online via MS Teams.
